St. George's Church with viewing platform

St. George's Church, an imposing sacred building from the 13th century, is one of the most important brick Gothic buildings in northern Germany.

As the former church of the Wismar craftsmen, it has an eventful history behind it. After severe war damage, it was lovingly restored and now shines in new splendor. The church not only serves as a place of worship, but is also a popular venue for concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events. A special highlight is the viewing platform, which offers a unique panoramic view of Wismar. 

Spiritual tours are possible via the parish, general tours by registration at the tourist office.
