The Hanseatic cities of Stralsund and Wismar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002, are a treasure trove of architectural history. Since June 2014, the World Heritage House in Wismar has been an attraction for anyone interested in history and architecture. As one of the few visitor centers of its kind in Germany, it offers a comprehensive presentation of the Hanseatic city and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour begins on the first floor, where the World Heritage Room takes visitors into the world of medieval trade and impressive brick Gothic architecture.<\/p>

Discover the history of the city in a very special way! Sit on the benches along the city wall and take a look at the detailed layout of the city. In the surrounding themed rooms, you can immerse yourself in the history of the Hanseatic city and become active yourself at interactive stations. A special highlight is the restored wallpaper room on the upper floor. The impressive murals tell the story of Telemach and offer a fascinating insight into the art of the 19th century.<\/p>
